INTRODUCTION
(objectives)
This is a project based on a theme of architecture with a social impact
and resolution of technology, environment and cultural context in
architectural design. this module extends development of ones position
in architecture through proposing a strategy to resolving social issues
pertinent within the conditions of the urban landscape. Through
exploring the site and programs chosen by design instructors i was then
to develop and provide an urban space that is dedicated to the
interaction an connection of people in the urban space - this was done
through sustainable strategies, to then produce a detailed design
supported by a comprehensive ENT/GBI design report.
SITE INTRODUCTION
The site is located within SS2 of Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. The specific area is dominated by commercial districts with an array of residential structures - restaurants, banking services and retail stores such as bridal stores.
UPCYCLING ARTISTS CENTER
This is a center that allows artists to explore once used materials and transform them into something new and visually appealing. artwork that can ad artistic value to an area where art has not yet been widely explored.
Through the implementation of the upcycling artists center - we are anle to trransform SS2 from a one dimensional perspective to a visually vibrant area in general.
This programme is operated by a non-profit organization - local and city artist communities such as: the global environmental center in Malaysia. the purpose of this programme - is to engage the surrounding communities in the practice of sustainable living through upcycled art production - by offering a free and open knowledge gaining experience.

After completion of this project i discovered how to produce a formal architectural design strategy which basically responds to the requirements of the brief - which display a strong proposition. i was also able to analyze the case studies which helped my gain understanding of architectural responses in cooperation with design strategies to inform on my design. Through the production of the development drawings which display a certain amount of complexity within my design - i was then able to produce both 2d and 3d modeling and imagery which would aid in my presentation to henceforth communicate my intentions greatly.
